The Birdville Historical Society’s March meeting to be held March 6, at 7:00 p.m., will include guest speakers who attended the Historic Haltom Theater as a child, courted their first love at the theater, or visited the theater as newly weds. Two Scholarships established have been established in the memory of Chris Gavora. Chris was a junior at GCISD and died after being struck by a ball hit from another batting cage.

Elizabeth McLean, owner of the Colleywood Rock Cafe, provided Local News Only with a dated copy of the renewal of her establishment's alcoholic beverages and food licenses on Friday. Contrary to information given LNO reporter Linda Baker on February 22, 2007 by a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission staff Officer, the licenses are indeed marked as Paid on the due date of February 21, 2007.

On March 10, 2007 at 11:17 PM, Bedford Patrol Officers responded to the 2100 block of Central Park Blvd, on an initial report of a theft (a purse snatching). It was reported that a black male subject had grabbed a female’s purse and run from the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot. A male acquaintance of the female chased the suspect across Central Park Blvd and into the parking lot of The Villages of Central Park Apartment complex.

According to Police and Court records, January of 2007 marked for the first month ever that the City of Colleyville recovered as much money in outstanding warrants as were issued. In less than six months time, since the addition of full-time Warrant Officer Raymon Cannon, the City has recovered over $100,000 of an original $600,000 backlog. Early estimates of the impact of adding a Warrant Officer assumed at least a year before the $100,000 recovery mark could be reached.

A U.S. District Judge has dismissed the City of North Richland Hills from a federal lawsuit filed by Barbara Jean Davis.

Judge Terry Means on March 13, 2007 issued an Order and Final Judgment granting the City’s Motion for Summary Judgment, dismissing all claims against the City and dismissing the City from the case.

Missouri Woman Discovers She is the Victim of Mortgage Fraud in Remington Park...
Recently a Grain Valley, Missouri woman contacted Colleyville Police after she had discovered a house in the western part of this city had been purchased in her name, without her knowledge or consent. Stacie Lee Johnston, 56, found out that her credit information was used to obtain a mortgage as a "straw buyer" for the home at 6110 Mustang Trail in the Remington Park Addition, on June 23, 2006.

Monticello Husband And Wife Team Arrested After Home Raided By Law Enforcement...
Tarrant County Narcotics Task Force Officers, acting on information received about drug possession, use, and trafficking activity, executed a search warrant on Thursday night, March 22nd, at a home near the entrance to the Monticello subdivision. Approximately a half pound of marijuana was found and the homeowners, Gerald and Laura Campbell, of 7100 Monticello Parkway, were arrested by Colleyville Police at 7:21 PM, charged with Possession of Marijuana Between 4 oz to 5 lbs.
